Summary: iPod user new to Zune
Comment: I ordered the 4GB 2nd Gen Zune as a Christmas gift for my father and loaded it with some of his favourite songs. I was a bit concerned by some reviews that said the Zune would "randomly restart" however after testing it on an 18 hr drive it had no such problems.
I must say it's easier to use than my iPod Video and I'm quite impressed by the features and overall ease of use. If I were going to replace my iPod, I would probably go with a Zune myself.

Comment: Very sleek and stylish MP3 player. The first one came DOA, but Amazon rushed a replacement so it would be here for Christmas (given as a gift). DOA aside, it seems to be a very solid unit. 16GB is great, although I also like my Sansa Fuze because it has the mircoSD expansion slot to make it as big as you want, or have a library of itty bitty "CDs." The interface is much more intuitive and less annoying than the iPod (watch the MacBook Wheel video if you haven't yet!). $15/month instead of $1/song seems like a great way to build a library and explore new artists too. Haven't witnessed the benefit of the community feature (connecting to other Zunes in network range), but being able to connect to your computer/home network with wifi is pretty awesome. Can't wait to see how it works with the roommate's XBox 360 as well. A great player. I might actually get one for myself too now!

Comment: I bought two Zunes, this one and a 120 GB for Christmas gifts. The price compared to the GB makes this one's value less to me. I got a good deal on it but generally when I shopped for it the cost was only about $50 difference. I bought mine in a package deal though and so the value was not so bad. Still, I think that for such a big difference in GB it should not be so close in price. My daughter loves it though and for younger people 16 GB is plenty! We have the 30 GB as well. It depends on how much space you think you'll need and your budget. Overall, I think that the 120 GB is the best value when you compare what you get and prices. Shop around though and you'll get a good deal with extra items included!
